An example Microsoft Teams widget. You describe it, your AI builds it.

What you can build

Real widgets, not mockups of a single layout. Each one is a screen you can stand up from Microsoft Teams.

What you can pull from Microsoft Teams

Dance Party reads your Microsoft Teams data through Microsoft Graph, read-only. It reads the standard channels of teams where the Dance Party app is installed. Anything below can go on a screen. You never write a query.

  • Joined teams
The teams your account belongs to, with name and description.
  • Archived flag
Whether a team is archived, so a screen can skip it.
  • Standard channels
Every standard channel in a team, with name and description.
  • Channel type
Only standard channels are read. Private and shared channels are left out.
  • Recent posts
The latest posts in a channel as plain text, up to 50 at a time.
  • Timestamps
When each post was created, last edited, or deleted.
  • Message type
Regular posts versus system messages, so a feed shows only real posts.

How to connect Microsoft Teams

OAuth connection. No code, no drag-and-drop.

Read-only, always. The Dance Party Teams app grants read access only inside the team where you install it, and Dance Party checks your team membership on every read. It never posts, replies, or changes anything in Microsoft Teams. Remove the app in Teams, or disconnect in Dance Party, to revoke access. There is no key to paste.

Frequently asked questions

Can I show a Microsoft Teams channel on a TV?

Yes. Install the Dance Party app in your team, connect your account, pick a standard channel, and your AI puts it on screen. It runs on an Apple TV, a native tvOS app, on any office display. Always on, and it refreshes on its own.

Is the Microsoft Teams connection read-only?

Yes. The Dance Party app installed in your team grants read access to that team's standard channels only, and you sign in with your work or school account to approve read-only access. Dance Party never posts, replies, or changes anything in Microsoft Teams.

Which Teams channels can Dance Party read?

Standard channels only, in teams where the Dance Party app is installed. Private channels, shared channels, chats, replies, and attachments are not read.

Do I need a Microsoft 365 administrator?

Sometimes. If your organization does not allow custom app uploads, an administrator adds the Dance Party package to your organization's app catalog. Your organization's policy controls installation.

Does it show live Microsoft Teams messages?

Yes. Each screen shows the latest posts from your channel and refreshes on its own, within minutes. No manual updates.
