Spotify dashboards on Apple TV and every office display
Your Spotify now-playing, live on every office display. Connect Spotify through Last.fm, describe the dashboard you want, and your AI builds it. It runs on an Apple TV, a native tvOS app. Always on.

What you can build
Real widgets, not mockups of a single layout. Each one is a screen you can stand up from Spotify.
- →What's playing right now: track and artist.
- →A live feed of recent tracks, each with a timestamp.
- →Your top artists over the last 7 days or month.
- →Your top tracks over the same period.
- →Scrobbles over time, per hour today or per day this week.
- →A celebration on screen when you cross a listening milestone.
What you can pull from Spotify
Dance Party reads your listening data through Last.fm scrobbling, read-only. Spotify's own API is closed to new apps, so you link Spotify to Last.fm once and Dance Party reads the scrobbles. Anything below can go on a screen. You never write a query.
Listening
API docs ↗- Now playingThe track playing right now, title and artist, straight from your scrobbles.
- Recent tracksYour recent listens in order, each with a real timestamp, for a live feed and a scrobbles-over-time trend.
- Top artistsYour most-played artists over a period: 7-day, 1-month, and up.
- Top tracksYour most-played tracks over the same periods, for a leaderboard.

Read-only, always. Listening data comes through Last.fm scrobbling, so all you need is a Last.fm username. Dance Party stores it encrypted and only reads your listening data to render the display. It never plays or changes anything. One thing to know: playing through Sonos does not scrobble to Last.fm. For Sonos speakers, use the Sonos integration instead.
Frequently asked questions
Can I show a Spotify dashboard on a TV?
Yes. Connect Spotify through Last.fm, describe the dashboard, and your AI builds it. It runs on an Apple TV, a native tvOS app, on any office display. Always on, and it refreshes on its own.
Do I need Last.fm?
Yes. Spotify's API is closed to new apps, so listening data comes through Last.fm scrobbling. You link Spotify to Last.fm once at last.fm/settings/applications, then connect with just your Last.fm username. There is no API key to create. Dance Party reads your scrobbles, read-only.
Is the Spotify connection read-only?
Yes. Listening data comes through Last.fm scrobbling. Dance Party stores your Last.fm username encrypted and only reads your listening data to render the display. It never plays or changes anything.
Can it show what's playing now and our top artists?
Yes. It reads your scrobbles through Last.fm to show now playing, a recent-tracks feed, and your top artists and top tracks over a period. Each display refreshes on its own, within minutes.
Does it work if we play Spotify through Sonos?
Not through this integration. Sonos does not scrobble to Last.fm, so music played on Sonos speakers never reaches Last.fm and the widget stays empty even when everything is set up correctly. Use the Sonos integration for those speakers. It reads what is playing straight from Sonos.
Can it show Spotify playlists or account analytics?
No. This reads Last.fm scrobble data only: now playing, recent tracks, and top artists and tracks. It does not manage playlists, show audio features, follower counts, or Spotify-account analytics.
