Read-only, always. You paste a Pingdom API token (Bearer). Dance Party stores it encrypted and only reads checks and summaries. It never creates, pauses, or edits a check. Generate the token with Read access, not Read/Write.

Yes. Connect Pingdom, describe the dashboard, and your AI builds it. It runs on an Apple TV, a native tvOS app, on any office display. Always on, and it refreshes on its own.

Is the Pingdom connection read-only?

Yes. You paste an API token with Read access. Dance Party stores it encrypted and only reads checks and summaries. It never creates, pauses, or edits a check.

What can Dance Party see?

Each check's name, hostname, status, and lastresponsetime. It can also read a check's average summary (avgresponse, totalup, totaldown) for a window. It does not change alerting or contacts.

Where do I get the token?

Log in at my.pingdom.com, open API tokens, generate a token, and set Access level to Read access. Copy it when Pingdom shows it.

Do I need to build the dashboard myself?

No. You connect Pingdom, describe what you want, and your AI builds the dashboard and deploys it to a screen.
