Frequently asked questions

Is the Carta connection read-only?

Yes. Dance Party uses OAuth to request strict read-only access to equity aggregates and can never issue shares or edit cap tables.

How long does a connection stay active?

Carta OAuth access tokens are refreshed automatically; however, connections expire after 14 days without active refresh calls, requiring quick re-consent.

Can employees see individual equity grants?

No. The integration only reads company-level aggregate summaries (authorized, outstanding, option pool) to protect individual employee privacy.

Does it support the Carta Playground?

Yes. Developers can test workflows against the Carta Sandbox (carta.team) before deploying production keys.
