Integration guide

Zoom for Dance Party

Read-only. Dance Party never creates, edits, or deletes meetings, never joins or records them, and never reads chat or recordings.

What it does

Connect your Zoom account and the DJ Agent builds widgets from your own meeting calendar for an office TV: today’s meetings, a next-meeting countdown, this week’s meeting count, and upcoming webinars. Each person connects their own Zoom account, and a widget shows only what that person can already see in Zoom. Meeting join links and passcodes are never rendered on a screen.

Adding the app

  1. Sign in to Dance Party at app.danceparty.ai/integrations.
  2. Find the Zoom card and click Connect (or Connect (just for me) to keep the connection personal).
  3. Zoom asks you to sign in and approve four read-only permissions: your profile, your meeting list, one meeting’s details, and your webinar list. Click Allow.
  4. You are returned to Dance Party. The Zoom card now reads Connected.

Using the app

  1. Open a dashboard and start a widget. Choose Zoom as the data source.
  2. Describe what you want in plain language, for example “my meetings today” or “countdown to my next meeting”. The DJ Agent previews live data and builds the widget.
  3. Place the widget on a screen. It refreshes on the schedule you set; if Zoom rate-limits a refresh, the last good data stays on screen.

Webinar widgets need a Zoom Webinar licence on the connected account; without one, the widget says so instead of failing.

Removing the app

  1. In Dance Party, open Integrations and click Disconnect on the Zoom card. Your Zoom tokens are deleted immediately and Zoom widgets stop refreshing.
  2. Optionally, also remove Dance Party from Zoom: sign in to Zoom, open the App Marketplace, click Manage Added Apps, find Dance Party and click Remove.

Data

Dance Party stores your Zoom access and refresh tokens encrypted at rest, and caches only what a widget shows (titles, start times, durations, counts) until its next refresh. No recordings, chat, transcripts, or attendee lists are requested. See the Privacy Policy for the full statement.
